MICROBLADING COURSE
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
AIM: To be competent in performing the micro-bladed eyebrow treatment. OBJECTIVES: To understand the anatomy & physiology of the skin, face shapes, skin tones, hair growth patterns, colour theory, contraindications, health and safety implications and micro blading treatment applications.
2 DAYS
CLASSROOM STUDY
Class room training takes place over 2 days which comprises of practical demonstration, theoretical studies and 1-2-1 practical work on both synthetic skins and live models. A written ABT examination paper is taken. During this time your score is recorded and utilised towards your final assessment. Sales & marketing practical and theoretical advice is also provided at this time.
PRACTICAL &
PORTFOLIO PROJECT
Time away from the theoretical training academy is scheduled to work on your practical portfolio. You are given approximately 6-8 weeks to complete your course work, which should be carried out on friends and family. The same is carried out with Microblading but with 6 models. You are required to provide a full gallery of before and after treatment photographic evidence; complete with required paperwork including; medical histories, proof of patch testing and client consent forms. You must produce a minimum of 3 eyebrow treatments, 3 eyeliner treatments and 3 lip liner treatments.
FINAL
ASSESSMENT DAY
A final assessment day is scheduled at the BPB training school. Live models will be available, those originally worked on – you will complete one each of eyebrow, eyeliner and lip liner top-up treatment on your original models. You will submit their portfolio for review and discussion with your tutor and sit your final assesment before being fully certified and passed fit to practice.

Tattoo Infection Control Course
Beginners must also take the on-line Tattoo Infection Control Course for a good understanding of correct infection control. Blood borne pathogens can spread with needles and other items used in treatments. Although we cover this subject in the class room, we strongly recommend this additional course, which is HSE accredited. You will learn how to identify potential dangers and how, with basic good practice, you can stay safe and increase the trust of your clients.
A separate certificate will be issued upon course completion.

Micro-needling is also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CTI, Micro-Needling offers a full range of rejuvenating treatments for face, neck, décolleté and hands. Areola Reconstruction
Ladies who have gone through the trauma of breast cancer and the subsequent loss of a breast followed by reconstructive surgery are often left without the areola or nipple area. This can be safely and easily tattooed using shading and blending techniques, helping them regain their confidence.
Scar Camouflage, Cleft Lips and more
Following any reconstructive surgery the lip lines can be re-established and drawn in symmetry, offering patients a new confidence in their appearance. Scars can be camouflaged effectively. Dry needling can be used when vitiligo is present or scars have left the skin taught.
This type of work requires the technician to be able to work with clients who have undergone medical trauma such as a breast reconstruction after cancer treatment.
